The Best Sweet and Sour Sauce
This came from Taste of Home's Quick Cooking and is much better than anything I've created on my own. The sauce is thick and gooy and goes well with so many things.

Not quite the right color, but the taste is great if you increase the brown sugar a bit. Desperately needed this recipe when I found a recipe that called for sweet and sour sauce. This recipe saved the day. May decrease the cornstarch a bit...but it was a lifesaver!

Far more delicious than the ingredients make it seem like it will be. This is very very close to the sweet/sour sauce of a local restaurant. Love it! I made pan-fried tofu, recipe 271647, some seared pineapple chunks, and steamed broccoli. Fantastic!

So simple and much tastier than anything out of a bottle. You can easily add chillies, garlic or ginger to spice it up a bit but delicious as it is.
